A day for the kids to take Dad out in the woods. Open to everyone, individuals and groups as well as families. Come have fun seeking flags on the trails and forest. Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Lime Hollow Nature Center.
Orienteering is a sport involving use of map & compass to navigate the forest on foot. Orienteering is good for walkers as well as those who like to run in the woods.
This event offers the option to start at a time of your choice between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and finish at your own pace in an hour or two. Free instruction for beginners starting at 10:00 AM, or as needed throughout the event.
Novice-Short, Intermediate-Medium and Advanced-Long courses will be offered using electronic scoring.
Fee for color maps is $8 for non members, $5 for CNYO members. Maps can be shared. Refreshments included.
Large groups (such as Scout troops) please pre-register.
Event will be held rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.
