An event open to the public for individuals, families, or groups. Great all-ages family activity to have fun seeking the flags on the trails and forest.
Start any time between noon and 3:00. Finish at your own pace in an hour or two.
Orienteering is a sport involving use of map & compass to navigate the forest on foot. Orienteering is good for walkers as well as those who like to run in the woods.
Novice, Intermediate and Advanced courses will be offered using electronic scoring. Free instruction for beginners as needed throughout the event.
Fee for color maps is $8 for non members, $5 for CNYO members. Maps can be shared. Refreshments included.
Large groups (such as Scout troops) please pre-register.
Event will be held rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.
If you have clothing items to donate to the community clothing closet (suitable for job interviews) CNYO will have a collection box.
